24-Hour and 40-Hour HAZWOPER in California
We understand wondering which of the major HAZWOPER training options is the right one to take.
Those who are more removed from the situation but will still be exposed to the area where the hazardous material will be should end up taking the 24-hour HAZWOPER course. The 24-hour training is designed for workers who are occasionally on-site and unlikely to be exposed to hazardous substances at or above the permissible exposure limits.
Those who are usually working with or around hazardous materials, such as clean-up situations and emergencies, need to take the 40-hour HAZWOPER training course. The 40-hour training is required for workers who are expected to be involved in operations that expose them to hazardous substances above the permissible exposure limits.
8-Hour HAZWOPER and HAZWOPER Refresher in California
HAZWOPER information is important to keep yourself and others safe around hazardous materials. Because of this importance, it is required that every 12 months you need to take the 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher course to maintain your certification.
You should make sure that your refresher course is completed before your certification date is up so that you don’t have to worry about special documentation explaining what happened with taking the refresher course promptly. This refresher course meets all of the requirements outlined in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 for eight hours of HAZWOPER annual refresher training for workers who remove waste and could potentially be exposed.
H2S Training and Certification in California
Hydrogen sulfide is a dangerous gas because it is colorless, extremely flammable, and has a distinct rotten eggs smell to it. There are several different situations where you would encounter significant amounts of hydrogen sulfide such as in the oil refining process as well as from decaying organic matter.
Because of the nature of the gas, those in situations where it is present must have H2S training. The course aligns with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.143 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120.
Confined Space Training and Certification Online in California
Working on electrical connections in city subterranean tunnels, issues in large tanks, and a host of other unique spaces are often referred to as confined spaces, and there are safety issues with these sorts of spaces that people work in. Because of their nature, they present issues that need to be addressed such as ventilation, identifying spaces as being confined, atmospheric testing of these spaces, duties of entrants, and other important information.
While working in these spaces is needed from time to time, that doesn’t mean that precautions shouldn’t be taken. Confined Space Training will ensure that you are aware of important information about these kinds of spaces.
OSHA Fall Protection Training in California
From elevated platforms to temporary stairs to towers and other locations, there is plenty of opportunity for falls to happen. These issues on job sites require that OSHA fall protection training happen to help keep everyone safe. Fall restraint systems, falling object protection, safety nets, hole covers, guardrail systems, and many other issues will be covered in this course that aligns with OSHA Standards 1910.28-30, 1910.140, and 1926.500-503.
Falls are one of the most common reasons for injuries that happen in a workplace according to OSHA, so this training is important to help keep yourself and others safe.

California has a federally approved occupational safety and health program, required by the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) / Division of Occupational Safety and Health (better known as Cal/OSHA).
