24-Hour and 40-Hour HAZWOPER in New Jersey
One of the primary scenarios requiring HAZWOPER training is the clean-up of hazardous waste sites. The only way that you will be able to participate in this clean-up will be to have either the 24-hour or 40-hour HAZWOPER training and certification course.
Workers involved in the identification, evaluation, and remediation of these sites need comprehensive HAZWOPER training to safely handle and dispose of hazardous materials, prevent exposure, and manage health risks. The 24-hour training is designed for workers who are occasionally on-site and unlikely to be exposed to hazardous substances at or above the permissible exposure limits. This training covers basic safety practices, hazard recognition, and emergency response procedures.
The 40-hour training is required for workers who are expected to be involved in operations that expose them to hazardous substances above the permissible exposure limits.
8-Hour HAZWOPER and HAZWOPER Refresher in New Jersey
Your original HAZWOPER training covered a lot of information, but because of the nature of the substances and circumstances that you will be dealing with, it is required that you receive ongoing refresher courses.
We offer the 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher course that is required every 12 months to keep your certification valid. This refresher course meets all of the requirements outlined in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 for eight hours of HAZWOPER annual refresher training for workers who remove waste and could potentially be exposed. Our HAZWOPER refresher course can be done online so that you can complete it at your own pace.
H2S Training and Certification in New Jersey
We also offer additional training and certifications, such as the hydrogen sulfide training and certification course. While this is a color gas, it is not odorless and is usually confirmed by the rotten egg smell associated with it. Understanding the effects of this gas on the body, and knowing good rescue techniques, detection techniques, and other information will keep you and others safe should you encounter it or have to work in an area with known hydrogen sulfide issues.
This training is geared towards those who work in any industry with a high potential for exposure to H2S. The course aligns with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.143 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120.
Confined Space Training and Certification Online in New Jersey
There will likely be times when you are called upon to enter a confined space to do your work. This could be a tank, large pipe, or other area that follows OSHA regulations as being defined as a confined space:
- Large enough and configured so an employee can bodily enter and perform assigned work
- Limited or restricted means for entry and exit
- Not designed for continuous employee occupancy
Because of the nature of these confined spaces, various topics will be covered such as ventilation, identifying confined spaces, rescue and emergency services, and many others. While working in these spaces is needed from time to time, that doesn’t mean that precautions shouldn’t be taken. This training will ensure that you are aware of important information about these kinds of spaces.
OSHA Fall Protection Training in New Jersey
Just like confined spaces, there will also be times when you will be on elevated areas that require fall protection. From scaffolding to towers and many other spaces, fall protection and fall prevention is important to keep in mind. We offer OSHA fall protection courses that will provide you with information on identifying hazardous situations that could result in falls as well as different safety equipment that can be used to prevent falls.
Our course aligns with OSHA Standards 1910.28-30, 1910.140, and 1926.500-503 and includes such topics as hole covers, safety nets, guardrail systems, fall restraint systems, falling object protection, and many more.
